We are extremely excited to announce the first opportunity to join Wildflower Collective.

Memberships to the Collective are now available through our online shop here. For 2018, we have 60 spots available.

The Collective is an annual membership based society created in order for us at Wildflower to work on experimental beers and share them with a small number of supporters to receive feedback and potentially confidence for wider release. Each member's initial and upfront purchase of the beer gives us the assurance and means to play with new ingredients, blends and techniques that may not be commercially viable on a larger scale.

The word "collective" stems from the Latin word collectus from collegere meaning both 'to gather' and 'together'. It is defined by a group dedicated to a certain purpose. We have named the program by this name in order to embody and encapsulate the etymology and meaning of the word.  As a group, the Wildflower Collective will meet at the end of each year for a bottle share and overall celebration of the year that was. Perhaps more importantly, we have established the Collective for passionate individuals who share our conviction to explore further the flavour possibilities of Australian Wild Ales.

In 2018, members will receive ten unique 750ml blends. Six of these will be experimental Collective-only releases while the other four bottles will be each of our four wider release fruit refermentations normally only available in 375ml bottles.  The beer will be shipped to each member over the course of the year in four separate shipments.

Each member of the Collective will also receive a specially branded glass, an offer to purchase tickets to our end-of-year bottle share and first right of refusal for membership to the Collective in 2019.

A 2018 membership to the Collective is $350.

FAQs

  • Why 60 spots?
Sixty spots because it is an even 5 dozen. We have already begun working on a number of these smaller scale experiments with a volume of beer that suits packaging 60 bottles. Sixty bottles is 45 litres worth of beer, which fits nicely into a 60 litre fermenter with fruit or the likes. This year, being our first, we are unable to take more than this volume from our normal production. In future years, depending on the interest in Wildflower Collective, we may look to increase this number.
  • What are the Collective only beers?
Well, we can't say too much at this stage but can say they will be fun. We are currently playing with unique and unusual blends from our cellar, different fruits and fruiting rates. Three of the six are already underway, however as we are continually inspired, we are unsure ourselves of what they may be.
  • When can I expect to receive my beers?
The first shipment of the first Collective only beer and your glassware will be in Mid-January 2018. The next three shipments of 3 bottles each will come likely in April, August and December (dates to be confirmed closer to the time).
  • What is the end-of-year bottle share?
A chance for all of us in the Collective to come together as the year draws to an end to meet, chat, eat and taste. We will bring out a number of things (wine and beer) from our cellar that we have been given or have from the past and members will be encouraged to bring along something they have been waiting for the right moment to open. There will be a fee to attend the evening to cover food etc, as well as to not penalise members who cannot attend. We are already looking forward to it.
  • Can I buy a membership for someone else as a gift?
Yes! Just put the lucky person's name and address in the delivery details section when buying the membership online.
  • Can I choose which beers are included?
No - as a member of the Collective, you will be receiving 6 Collective specific beers which are being brewed only for Collective members and won't be available to the public.  You'll also receive each of our 4 fruit refermentations in the large format 750ml bottles.
  • Can I buy a particular Collective only beer in larger quantities?
We have created Wildflower Collective to work on experimental beers on a small-scale and share them with members to get feedback.  If you like a particular Collective only beer and want us to make more, please let us know!  If a Collective only beer is right for wider release, as a member of Wildflower Collective, you will get first opportunity to secure more of that beer before it is released.
  • Can I pick-up my beer from the brewery?
We prefer that all beer be shipped out to members.  If there is a particular reason why you need to do a pick-up, please send us an email to info@wildflowerbeer.com.  No discount will be offered for any pick-up from our cellar door.
  • Can I cancel my membership?
Due to the investment in brewing Collective-only beers, a membership can't be cancelled or refunded once purchased.
  • What if I need to change my delivery address?
Please send us an email to info@wildflowerbeer.com to discuss any change in delivery arrangements.
  • Who do I contact if I have need to speak with someone at Wildflower about my membership?
    Shoot an email to info@wildflowerbeer.com.
