Wildflower Good as Gold Blend #19 will be available online and for take-away/collection at our cellar door from 12pm (AEST) on Friday 2 June 2023.
Good as Gold is a 50/50 blend of barrel aged Gold with fresh Gold that has just completed primary fermentation. This blend is composed of three barrels of aged Gold, including one barrel of 37 month old Gold, equally blended with the 148th batch of Gold brewed in early February 2023.
Meesh's tasting notes - Floral and full of bright lemon lime citrus Motueka character on the nose. A lifted blend that dances across the palate with elegant carbonation. Generous with tropical fruits rounded out with a pleasant bitterness.
The base beer is brewed entirely with regenerative organic grains grown by Sam and Chris Greenwood in Coleambally, New South Wales: organic Schooner ale malt and organic raw red wheat thanks to Voyager Malt. It is made with filtered Sydney water and Motueka (NZ) and Saaz (CZ) hops. Finally, it was fermented with our house culture of microflora wholly foraged from native flowers in NSW. It was bottled on 23 February 2023 and naturally conditioned through refermentation for 14 weeks. At bottling it was 5.0% ABV, 25 IBU and 1.3°P (FG= 1.004 SG).
Like all our beers, Good as Gold Blend #19 is best enjoyed when decanted off a settled natural yeast sediment at cellar temperatures (10-12°C).
